Introduction to Stock and Semi-Custom Flags

What is a stock flag? What is a semi-custom flag? Knowing the difference between the two types of flags ensures that you make the right choice for your business or event.

Stock flags are printed in China and shipped to the United States. The style choices are somewhat limited and many flag companies offer the same designs. As these flags are shipped in bulk, they are warehoused in the US and can ship quickly. At Bayfield Signs, we ship stock flags the same or next day- which is an important advantage if you need your flag fast.

Semi-Custom flags are printed in the United States. The designs are determined by in-house graphic designers and are more varied than stock flags. They are printed on a higher quality flag material and their life expectancy is  2 to 3 times longer than the imported flags. It is important to note that  these flags are made to order. Typical production times are 3-5 business days. Additionally, due to the quality of the material, semi-custom  flags are more expensive than their stock counterparts. On average semi-custom flags cost 20% more than stock flags.
